An eye for raw material
Our story does not begin in an office, but at the Carrara railway station. Here, at the end of the 19th century, Lissan Cordiviola waited for travellers to personally guide them among the marble blocks. A human and visionary approach that defined the DNA of Marmo Elite: client care and deep knowledge of the raw material above all else. He was not selling stone — he was selling possibility.
1977
Shaping progress
In 1977, Paolo Cordiviola founded his own company with a clear vision: artisan mastery must embrace technological precision. In the 1990s, we became pioneers in Italy by installing the first CNC numerical-control machines. The mastery learned from the Guastini brothers merges with robotic precision: the modern concept of the elite workshop is born. What others saw as a replacement, we saw as an extension — technology amplifies human talent, it does not replace it.
2010
Design without limits
Since 2010, under the leadership of Gianpaolo Cordiviola, marble has ceased to be merely a material and has become an architectural language without limits. We have transformed the millennial solidity of stone into a new form of freedom: lightened structures, complex geometries and installations that seem to defy gravity. Marmo Elite does not simply supply the material — it engineers visions where the most extreme design meets the perfection of nature.

1880
The marble that started it all. From the first slab worked by Lissan Cordiviola, this iconic white represents the essence of the Apuan tradition and our history.
1920
Intense black traversed by spectacular golden veins. Italy's most precious marble, the epitome of luxury.
1950
The stone of the Colosseum and the imperial baths. In the post-war years, we brought this millennial tradition back into modern and residential architecture.
1990
Dramatic golden veins on a pure white ground. The marble of global high society that has defined elegance.
2000
Blue, green, pink: three expressions of translucence. The new millennium brings us towards precious backlit stones, where artisan mastery meets spectacular visual effect.
2015
The deep black of Spain with decisive white veins. The arrival of CNC technology allows us to master this hard marble with millimetre precision.
Today we work over 1,900 stone varieties from 50 countries. But these materials tell our evolution: from the classic purity of Carrara to the world's most exclusive and spectacular stones.
